It is doable, but would make for a long day. It depends on what you want to do. I would recommend at least one night, to really enjoy your time and not feel rushed.

Above is the abandoned shipwreck on Contadora Island at low tide. At high tide, the back of the old ferry is submerged underwater. 

I’m not sure about island hopping. You can access neighbouring Saboga island by ferry, which should be easy. However, I’m not sure about the other islands. I’m sure you can book day trips or tours.

Bird Species: Contadora is a birdwatcher’s paradise, with numerous species such as frigatebirds, pelicans, and seabirds. The island’s position along migratory routes adds to its avian diversity.

In the above photo you’ll see two ferries. We traveled on the white catamaran (to the right) from Panama City to Contadora Island. On the return trip back to the mainland, we took the white and blue ferry, on the left. This ferry also stops at Saboga Island to pick up passengers.

Black smoke spewed from the old motor as it puttered towards land. It only took five minutes to reach the beach, but it felt much longer.
